Linksys announced its router set of EA9200 and E8350 routers, both featuring 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity allowing you to connect a home or small business wirelessly thanks to its excellent range.
The Linksys EA9200 includes no less than six antennas (3x internal + 3x external) , it’s capable of operating at 2.4 and 5 GHz and supports a dual core processor at 1.00 GHz and three co-processors which attain speeds of 600 Mbps under 2.4 GHz and 1.3 Gbps in 5 GHz. It offers USB 3.0 connectivity, USB 2.0, four RJ-45 Gigabits and a WAN port with 1 Gbps.
The Linksys E8350 includes four external antennas capable of working up to 2.4 Gbps. It integrates a single-core processor @ 1.40 GHz, offers four Gigabit ports, one eSATA and a USB 3.0 ports. Both come with a price of 299.99 and 249.99 dollars.
For wireless network lovers or simply for those who search for a new access point or router for their homes, Linksys has, since today, a new product series. Between the models to choose from we find the AC 1200 Wi-Fi, N600 PRO Wi-Fi, N300 Wi-Fi and the RE6500 and RE4000W. These last two, with double Cross-Band technology, provide more powerful signal intensity due to them being designed for b, g, n and ac networks.
Given the rising demand for Wi-Fi connectivity due to the use of tablets, cellphones, television or multimedia players, the arrival of new products which include this technology and, especially in AC versions, allow users to choose from a wider spectrum of possibilities. Linksys surprised everyone at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Their newest router, once again under the WRT series, is very similar to the well-known Linksys WRT54GL, the best of its time. This new model is the Linksys WRT1900AC and it will undoubtedly set the bar even higher.
The Linksys WRT1900AC is a dual-band router compatible with the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards and offers four external MIMO 4T4R antennas you can unmount and replace for better ones. Even though it features four MIMO 4T4T antennas, it’s actually a Three-Stream, capable of offering speeds of up to 600Mbps in the 2.4GHz band in Wi-Fi N and up to 1300Mbps in the 5GHz band if you use the Wi-Fi AC standard. The extra antenna improves the performance of the device, giving it an edge over the current MIMO 3T3R routers.
Users who had a WRT54GL will surely welcome this new router with open arms. It features am ARM-based dual-core processor at 1.2GHz, 256MB of DDR3 RAM and a 128MB FLASH memory. Perfect for every third-party manufacturer to get to work and offer the best performance.

We already know the specs of the latest router from Linksys, the Linksys EA6900 that features Broadcom’s TurboQAM technology, also present in the manufacturer’s latest 802.11ac chipsets, also present in the ASUS RT-AC68U. Like we discussed in the ASUS article, TurboQAM technology allows us reach speeds of up to 600Mbps in the 2.4GHz band, and a maximum speed of 450Mbps for the incompatible devices that don’t support this technology.
It also features Wi-Fi AC capable of reaching speed of up to 1300Mbps, 3 MIMO 3T3R antennas and Three-Stream. If we connect with devices that support Wi-Fi N connectivity, we’ll get speeds of up to 450Mbps in the 5GHz band. You can also connect external antennas to further improve the Wi-Fi performance.
This new model has 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for the LAN and one Gigabit Ethernet port for the WAN. It also has one USB 3.0 ports to share disks and printers with every device connected to the network.
The wireless router also supports every feature, app and functionality of the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi products to access the company’s cloud services.
It will cost approximately 250 dollars and will be available around October.
Linksys has also announced the Linksys WUSB6300, a Wi-Fi AC1200 adapter with USB 3.0 interface to always offer the best performance.
The latter is already available and it costs 70 dollars.
