CeBIT 2014.AVM has taken advantage of their participation in the CeBIT to present the FRITZ! Box 4080, their first router for optical fiber.
It features a dual-core processor, Gigabit WAN port, four gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB 3.0 ports, and it supports Internet connections of up to 1 gbps.
Based on the 802.11 ac standard, it boasts wireless transfer rates of up to 1300 mbps, and also boasts a new design, different from the rest of this German manufacturer’s routers.
It is also fully prepared for telephonic features, as it has two connections for analog phones, DECT base station and an internal ISDN connection.
Like other AVM routers, the new FRITZ!Box 4080 includes the latest version of the FRITZ!OS, which offers some advanced features such as a server (to connect an external drive to one of its USB 3.0 ports), Wi-Fi access for guests, parental control and smart home (Smart Home).
The release of the FRITZ!Box 4080 is scheduled for the second half of 2014.
